Joshua Berger, Director
Mr. Berger has been interested in firearms since he was very young. Growing up in a household that not only did not own, but did not like, guns, his early exposure to them was entirely through books and magazines. By the time he was 16 he had saved up enough to buy a copy of Jane’s Infantry Weapons, which remained his most prized possession until he reached the age of majority and was able to join the ranks of firearm owners with the purchase of a Glock. His 8 years as an employee of one of the largest and most diverse gun stores in Phoenix, Arizona gave him a hands-on education with an extensive variety of firearms. He remains both proud and appreciative of the opportunity to handle treasures like Wells Fargo Colts, Renaissance Browning sets and Parker double guns. Josh was deeply involved in the gun community in the mid-1990s when the major anti-gun groups, emboldened and enabled by a relentless contingent of gun-grabbing politicians, rose to power and engaged in an unyielding, junk-science and complicit media-fueled assault on our rights. As a proud card-carrying member of NRA, CRPA and SAF with more than a decade of gun rights advocacy under his belt, he's honored to be in a position to advance those rights he saw trampled in years past.
When not working to further the civil rights of gun owners, he enjoys building his own rifles, loading ammunition, brewing and crafting a mean pulled pork sandwich.
