Just wanted to show you all what it looks like when we first receive raw public records for our Carry License Sunshine and Compliance Initiative. More info and a photo after the "read more" jump.

These 2 boxes of carry licence applications, licenses/denials ("outcome" documents), and other important related records will be batch scanned, sorted, Bates numbered, and then redacted (again) by our awesome volunteers, with some relevant pages finally making their way to our's websites downloads section.

In the below, you can see Stanislaus County's reponse to our Aug. 26 request for public records. Considering the volume of records they had to work with - Stanislaus County is a "virtual shall-issue" county, with over 900 active "civilian" licensees as of Sept. 1, 2011 - they really did a great job getting these out to us in a timely manner.
